Hi all, just read http://www.webfoundation.org/programs/ In the "Programs" section it reads that its goals are: ---------- Web Technology and Practice The goals of this program are: To promote the development of technology and standards that foster creativity, collaboration, communication, and commerce. To encourage the spread of new technology that can be integrated and used alongside existing technology, ensuring the stable evolution of the Web. To ensure that the technology enables anyone to use the Web from any device, anywhere. To reach these goals, the initial activity for the program will be to support the development of open, interoperable, high-quality Web Standards. A strong standards foundation has been one of the most important enablers of the exponential growth of the Web. ----------- I wonder if this foundation would help to financially support the development of an SVG plugin for IE if it is done by OS programmers from Mozilla or Webkit. What do you think? I also consider this in the light of Tim Berners-Lee's press release: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5ijt9c0Dlxfdf3QocKPehKUVzXIGAD9343KEO1 Andreas -- Andreas Neumann Böschacherstrasse 6 CH-8624 Grüt (Gossau ZH) Switzerland Phone: ++41-44-2736668 Email: a.neumann@carto.net Web: http://www.carto.net/neumann/ SVG Examples: http://www.carto.net/papers/svg/samples/ SVG.Open: http://www.svgopen.org/
