"JSON-LD is designed to be usable directly as JSON,
with no knowledge of RDF [RDF11-CONCEPTS]. It is
also designed to be usable as RDF, if desired..."
Section 9 of the same document deals with how to process JSON-LD as
RDF, but JSON-LD itself does not require the use of RDF.
