Jeanne and all, I explored a series of Japanese Standard (JIS) to check if there is any "functional user needs" defined in JIS. I found that JIS X 8341-6, which is "Guidelines for older persons and persons with disabilities-Information and communications equipment, software and services-Part 6: Guidance on software accessibility", has the Annex D "Annex D (informative) Activity limitation issues". It looks very close to "functional user needs". And JIS X 8341-6 is the identical to ISO 9241-171:2008 "Ergonomics of human-system interaction — Part 171: Guidance on software accessibility". So I copied and pasted some parts from the ISO 9241-171:2008 to hasten to share what I found. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jUN62AuLl4Vw7odKi-Utlyk4_0uXoxQLdXXDvXB0gYc/edit?usp=sharing Cheers, Makoto 2020年5月8日(金) 5:15 Jeanne Spellman <jspellman@spellmanconsulting.com>: > Here are the minutes from the Silver virtual "face to face" meeting. > > We discussed how to include Functional User Requirements from > regulations around the world in WCAG3 (Silver).
