Since semantic wikis have been discussed on a few recent HCLS calls and
a number of folks may not subscribe to ontolog, I thought I'd forward
along the announcement of the next in the Ontolog "Semantic Wiki
mini-series".

Further to the great launch session we had on 23-Oct-2008 of our 
Semantic Wiki mini-series during which we made "A Survey of the 
Landscape and State-of-Art in Semantic Wiki," we take pleasure in 
presenting the second session in the series. ... You are 
cordially invited to join us at the event, virtually, this coming 
Thursday 20-Nov-2008.

The session is entitled: "An introduction to some of the Semantic 
Wiki Engines and Related Technologies"

This session will be chaired by Mr. Harold Solbrig (Mayo Clinic, 
US). He will be joined by a panel of semantic wiki technology 
experts who will be showing us, first hand, a variety of 
different implementations, and in so doing, allow us to compare 
and contrast the motivating factors, models, technologies and 
capabilities. The panel will include Dr. Sebastian Schaffert 
(IkeWiki), Mr. Tobias Kuhn (Ace Wiki), Mr. Christoph Lange 
(SWiM), Professor Martin Hepp (myOntology), Mr. Sebastian 
Dietzold (OntoWiki) & Professor Daniel Schwabe (HDEWiki).

Besides the ones mentioned above, we realize there are other 
semantic wiki technologies being developed. We want to hear about 
them too. If you fall into this category, we invite you to do a 
"one slide" (3 min. max) presentation, and give a "lightning 
talk" on what they are doing. Just send us (Harold Solbrig 
<Solbrig.Harold@mayo.edu> and Peter Yim <peter.yim@cim3.com>) a 
title, a paragraph abstract, and your one slide (in pdf, if 
possible) on/before end-of-day (tomorrow) Tue 2008.11.18, and we 
will add you to the agenda and proceedings.

Note that we will not be covering the Semantic Mediawiki and its 
extensions/enhancements in this session. The upcoming session-3 
of this mini-series (Thu 2008.12.11) will be dedicated to do 
that, specifically. We will be featuring the "lightning talks" 
segment in that session too.

As before, we will leave ample time for Q&A and open discussion 
at this session, after we are done with all the prepared 
presentations. We are confident that the mini-series will be 
useful for those who seek to find out what semantic wikis are all 
about, as well as for the serious developers, administrators and 
users of semantic wikis.
