Re: PubChem PD & AD candidates for demo

Two things I would add:

DONEPEZIL (http://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/summary/summary.cgi?cid=3152) One of the most popular and modern Acetylcholineesterase inhibitors in Alzheimers. Also included in one of the Brainpharm demos, if I remember correctly.

MEMANTINE (already listed as a Parkinson's medication) is of interest both for Parkinson's and Alzheimers, see e.g.[1]. If we are still trying to have both diseases covered in the use case, Memantine could be another link between the both.

By the way, on the topic of Parkinson medication, toxicology and drug safety, this might be of interest:

Basically it was found that some Parkinson medications cause heart damage, because of agonism at 5HT-2b serotonin receptors [2]. The fact that 5HT-2b agonism causes heart damage was known for some years, and the fact that some medications are 5HT-2b agonists was known for some time -- it just took quite a time until the medical community made the Syllogism that some of these medications can be the cause of observed heart damage in some patient populations. This would be another prime example for the use of Semantic Web technologies, in my opinion.
