Yes, great idea for a Firefox plug-in! Note that http://beta.uniprot.org/ supports HEAD requests, so the Link headers would be a useful addition. I'm just looking for more up to date information than http://www.w3.org/Protocols/HTTP/Object_Headers.html#link.
