I think there may be a potential confusion wrt HCLSIG membership I'd like to try and clarify. I suspect this may come up in todays telecon, so I hope this email may be useful in this discussion. W3C has created the HCLSIG to be an an open, sustainable forum. To help ensure that the deliverables of this group are produced in a timely fashion dedicated participation from a those representing different communities reflected in the charter in important. The public-semweb-lifesci list (if you're reading this, your on the list :) is a public list that also serves as the discussion forum for dedicated HCLS group members who are committed to address the items outlined in the charter. Subscribing to this list alone does not constitute being a member of this group. Group membership is important for indicating commitment, resolving issues, F2F meeting attendance, etc. If you are part of a W3C Member organization, and have not already done so, you can join the Semantic Web Health Care and Life Sciences Interest Group by filling in the participation form. - http://www.w3.org/2004/01/pp-impl/38539/join To enable a broad spectrum of input and help ensure success, we also anticipates the active participation of individuals as Invited Experts. Details on Invited Experts are available here - http://www.w3.org/2004/08/invexp If you're not affiliated with a W3C member organization but you feel you have expertise not currently represented in the group that you would like to contribute, contact the HCLS chairs and myself. Participation from W3C Members and non-Member Invited Experts will help ensure the goals of this charter are effectively addressed. -- eric miller http://www.w3.org/people/em/ semantic web activity lead http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/ w3c world wide web consortium http://www.w3.org/
