My primary interest is on the BP document, but I would also strongly support Bill's proposal, with a possible addition concerning interoperability of statistical and geospatial data (on the Web). This is becoming a hot topic, with a number of international initiatives working on it. I think JWOC could be in the right position to effectively contribute to this issue (at least, as an incubator for a possible WG). BTW, on this topic, the relationship with the recently launched DXWG (mentioned in the JWOC charter) can turn to be relevant (as far as metadata are concerned).
