The issue is very very practical: to get to the point when scholarly publishing can be based, at last, on the Open Web Platform, ie, producing articles that are displayed through the usual Web environment. This means to use HTML5. The 'linked research' is an important but, in this respect, secondary to the goals of the CG. Ie, let us stay focused… > > Ivan Thanks for the feedback. I'm open to a more appropriate rename. I entirely agree on keeping all this inline with the open web / native Web stack. I presume that the this also means that the work here is not solely about HTML, but also include embedding of semantic structures, using appropriate presentation layers, and interactive components, .. among other things.
