Hi Dan, Thanks very much for your reply. I have forwarded this to some internal people to discuss and we will come back to you asap about how ONS are using Schema.org and CSVW. Many thanks, Joanna From: Dan Brickley <danbri@google.com> Sent: 11 November 2021 16:39 To: Lewis, Joanna <Joanna.Lewis@ext.ons.gov.uk> Cc: public-schemaorg@w3.org Subject: Re: Dataset Schema Publisher Object On Thu, 11 Nov 2021 at 16:24, Lewis, Joanna <Joanna.Lewis@ext.ons.gov.uk<mailto:Joanna.Lewis@ext.ons.gov.uk>> wrote: Hi There, I work for the Office for National Statistics in the UK and we are trying to fix errors in Google Search Console where the error 'Invalid object type for field 'publisher' is being reported. We've changed and tested it in Google's Rich Results Test with 'Organization' rather than 'GovernmentOrganization' and the error disappears. We also checked schema.org/Dataset<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fschema.org%2FDataset&data=04%7C01%7CJoanna.Lewis%40ext.ons.gov.uk%7Cc01611110a3e44a6abd808d9a531ec46%7C078807bfce824688bce00d811684dc46%7C0%7C0%7C637722457332172985%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=1gQGxv9cgorHvJc5pBPZ%2Bv40X8PgdT%2Bln0Zq23K9LkY%3D&reserved=0> and it does say that 'publisher' only supports 'Organization' and 'Person'. Given that we are a government organisation, does anyone know why only these two publisher types are supported? Hi Joanna, I've just raised this with my relevant colleagues, and suspect the issue might ultimately have been my fault as I drafted the first version of our validation rules for this. Will let you know as I learn more. While we're here, would you care to share any examples with this group, of how ONS are using Schema.org and related standards? Are you also using CSVW?
