Is it possible with microdata and schema.org vocab to reference additional information on another webpage? I mean more so than just sameAs, more like itemref to another webpage. Say I have an overview page of upcoming events. As soon as I start describing an even will take place next sunday, indexers such as google advise me to also include an offer of the ticket, a location, a description etc. etc.. It nakes perfect sense, but that information as already provided on the events own details oage, which is a seperate webpage on the same website. The same thing happens when referencing a related article. SameAs does provide some way to indicate this item is further explained on another page, but that is a very loose connection, it doesnt say whether I am simply referencing a wikipedia page with general information on the topic, or wether I am referencing an other webpage on the same website where the markup is continued and provides all the details missing on this page. A different case of referencing additional information on another page is that there seems to be no easy way to point to a webpage and say: that is a FAQPage. I can't include a link in my footer such as <a href="https://example.com/FAQ.html" itemprop="url" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/FAQPage">our FAQ page</a> I can mark up that page as being a FAQPage, but a crawler would have to visot the page before knowing that, while I could have let him know ahead of time what to expect, and he may have determined it is irrelevant to him, and thus not crawl it. I am expecting people to reply that I am trying it the wrong way, yet to me as a rather recent user of schema's vocab, it would make sense to reference more information on another page, and maje sure the crawler or indexer knows that the markup of a certain item is completed on that page. SameAs can reference whole pages, but can not reference a certain element on a certain page. Itemref can reference a certain element on this page, but can not reference anything on other pages. I would like to use sonething which allows me to point out a soesific eoement on an other page. Am I asking for something useful or am misunderstanding the use of microdata/schema vocab? Kind regards, Niels Lancel
