RE: CERN involvement in the W3C WebAC WG

Dear Melvin,

just a kind reminder for the estimation of effort (meetings, paper reviews) that the WebAC work requires from its participants. This is my proposal http://cern.ch/dimou/personal/CERN-W3C_Collaboration_2017_proposal.pdf

Thank you
Maria

Thank you Melvin. This is very useful. Open data is open:-D but we have other applications with access control. Is the work finalised or does W3C propose technical changes that become standards? In order to have any chance for my proposal to be considered by the CERN IT management, I need to know whether WebAC involves people still meeting, writing, reviewing... to understand how much time/effort is required from the developers for this standardisation work (if this work is still on-going).

Thanks very much for your help!

yours

Maria

Hello!

I wrote a proposal to include CERN Open Data <http://opendata.cern.ch/><http://opendata.cern.ch/>
developers in the WebAC W3C WG and need to quantify this involvement.

Can you please tell me what it means in terms of members' involvement
(f2f or video conf. meetings, email activity, co-authoring, reviewing
papers etc)?

Thank you very much in advance

Hi Maria, thanks for the question. Perhaps this is posted to the wrong list?

I dont know what the WebAC W3C WG is?

Ah I see, you mean ?

https://www.w3.org/wiki/WebAccessControl

WG I understood as Working Group. We dont have a W3C Working Group (that im aware, there might be one tho!)

If you mean editing the wiki, anyone is free to do so, so please go ahead! :)

Any more insights on the cern open data set. Does it have access control?
