Fair enough, as long as we can use the rif: namespace for imports, that's already something.

Nothing is perfect, look at RDF for @$&&&@$(( sake, yet it us seeing real uptake. We have been 4+ years at RIF. IT IS DONE.

My personal worry here remains that rif:imports in a separate spec has some risk of later incompatibilities, see item 2) in

If there are any ideas how this incompatibility could be avoided without having to touch the current spec, I'd appreciate it!
