I would not quite say that: my understanding is rather that, not to have "coreness" issues block the progress of that spec, we decided to stop worrying about them for now and continue with BLD. But we did not decide not to use the Core WD1 (or BLD for that matter) design for a possible future core. What about: "This document...all RIF dialects. The Working Group has since decided to lower its priority on designing a common core and to progress on the design of a logic dialect first. That design has been renamed... OWL Compatibility. At the time of this publication, it has not yet been determined whether or not a new specification for RIF Core will be published in the future". Christian
