Is that right? > > Dave Dave, I would want reaction rule variants to be supported in addition to the ability to (at least) query local and remote data (like distributed query processing, "query-ref" messages), the reason being that the local data or perceived events alone are not enough for making a mission-critical decision. One should check that certain conditions hold and this can also include reasoning about the events and state, for example, using the event calculus approach clearly impossible with simple SNOOP-like event algebra. Once again, the key requirement is: Rules must assist the decision making process in the presence of evolving state AND events. Cheers Alex
