I've been kicking around the Semantic Web stuff for a while, done
work in both Web ontologies and rules back in the SHOE system ca.
mid-90s,, wrote a couple of papers on Sem Web in early 2000s,
co-chaired the Web Ontology WG, Currently sit on the W3C Sem Web
Coordination Group. All sorts of stuff about me and my research
group is on my Web page (below)

I long ago stopped trying to protect too much of this - see my
contact info below

As one of the earliest proponents of rules on the Web, I'm glad to
see this coming of age. I want to make sure out solutions are
compatible with Web Architecture, with the Semantic Web "vision", and
with existing Recommendations, but also want to see the technology
move forward.

I hope the MIND Laboratory at Maryland will be a significant
contributor to this WG, my own involvement will depend on factors
mostly outside this group.
