Hi all, Thanks again for joining the group, it promises to be a vibrant community. Now that we have a fair number of participants, I think we can start. I think it would be useful to begin with some high-level discussions to get a sense of everyone's interests and backgrounds. Is everyone happy with doing that in this mailing list, or should we use a different venue? Before getting into any specification work, I think it would be worth mapping out the ecosystem, by collaboratively creating a census of: - the reconciliation services currently available; - the clients which use the reconciliation API; - the libraries and other software packages around this API; - publications or patents mentioning the API, to better understand the use cases and any friction points; - any other protocols designed for similar uses. - anything else? We can set up a wiki or a git repository to host this sort of collaborative work. Do you have any preference between the two? (or suggestions of another format?) On a more administrative note, we should adopt a CG charter. The W3C provides a template here: https://w3c.github.io/cg-charter/CGCharter.html I propose we adapt it to our needs based on the description of the CG. Also, it would be good to choose chairs properly. Has anyone got experience with running W3C Community Groups or wants to get involved in the organization of the group? Cheers, Antonin
