RDFa and Microdata have different methods for establishing subjects, etc. If you actually tried to parse a document that contained both RDFa and Microdata this way, you'd end up with a jumble of nonsense. RDFa and Microdata each have a well-defined algorithm for parsing into an RDF graph. Just parse each and then merge the graphs. PS: if you think @itemref is similar to @about, you need to re-read the Microdata draft spec! There is nothing similar to @itemref in RDFa. Implementing support for it was probably the toughest part of my Microdata to RDFa converter. -- Toby A Inkster <mailto:mail@tobyinkster.co.uk> <http://tobyinkster.co.uk>
