I missed a response[1] from the publication team at W3C wrt. the publish-ability of the JSON-LD 1.0 Algorithms and API spec. The short of it is that they thought the document didn't validate because they were trying to validate it as HTML5+RDFa 1.1 Lite, when they should have been trying to validate it as HTML5+RDFa 1.1 Full. This led to them believing that the spec was not ready to go (even though it was). We've sorted it out, and the new agreed-upon publication date is the day after tomorrow. On a parallel track, Sandro had sent a comment in about JSON-LD data round-tripping that he intended to get integrated into the LC2 spec, but the comment was sent in a bit too late to resolve before today's intended publication date. If we adopt Sandro's changes, it'll result in an LC3 for the JSON-LD API. To prevent this, the JSON-LD group resolved[2] to include two feature-at-risk statements to the spec to be published on this coming Thursday. One about the round-tripping issue, and another about the reference to Futures in the WHATWG DOM spec. In order to meet our publication deadline of this Thursday, the RDF WG will have to resolve the following: PROPOSAL: Publish the latest ( https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/json-ld/raw-file/default/spec/WD/json-ld-api/20130516/index.html ) JSON-LD Algorithms and API 1.0 specification as a 2nd Last Call Working Draft on Thursday, May 16th 2013 with a Last Call period of 3 weeks. Gregg will be able to attend the call tomorrow to answer any questions that the group may have about this proposal. I won't be able to attend because I will be chairing a Web Payments telecon at the same time. Let either Gregg or me know if there are any questions that we can answer regarding the issue above, preferably before the call tomorrow. -- manu [1] https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/chairs/2013AprJun/0056.html [2] http://json-ld.org/minutes/2013-05-14/#resolution-1 -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny, G+: +Manu Sporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: Meritora - Web payments commercial launch http://blog.meritora.com/launch/
