Re: Event Updated: RDF-star WG weekly meeting

We should generally include an agenda item for issues labeled “needs discussion" [1]. Among these is a question on comparing language-tagged literals [2] which has turned into an issue for RDF Canonicalization [3]  as well as N-Triples and N-Quads canonicalization in general. From RDF 1.1, term equality is based on character by character comparison, but implementations MAY be converted to lower case. Meaning that “foo”@en-US and “foo”@en-us are either two distinct literals or the same literal depending on the implementation and canonical forms of triples including such literals can vary. I’m not sure RDF 1.2 can do much to clarify/resolve this but it bears discussion.
