Using SHACL at the Europeana Foundation to validate EDM

Dear all,

I would like to share with you the work that we have been doing at the Europeana Foundation in the past year, in collaboration with the DCMI RDF-AP Working Group, on using SHACL to represent the rules that are presently only in our EDM schema (the schema we use to exchange data with our data partners).

We have created this GitHub page [1] where we explain in more detail this effort but also what we are planning to work on in the next months... also see [2] where we describe in more detail the list of rules and how we decided to represent and structure them, and some initial reports on how it would look when applied to a dataset. Before taking a look at them, be aware that we might have used some SHACL features that are now deprecated as it has suffered some changes since we last worked on them.

We are looking forward to any feedback you might have and contribute to the discussions on this group.
