For what is worth, the exact syntax of profile file has never really been defined. There has been an attempt by Tantek Çelick with [XMDP] [1], but with no particular instruction for machine retrieval. There has been [work from Danny Ayers][2] and Dan Connolly to be able to process it with GRDDL.
