It was very heartening the other day to hear that an At Risk feature already had multiple implementations. That makes me wonder if we can skip the Candidate Recommendation phase. Procedurally, CR occurs after Last Call, when we're waiting to get two implementations of every feature, and/or otherwise making sure the spec can be implemented interoperably. If even the At-Risk feature is implemented, I wonder if that means we have some folks who've already implemented everything else, too. If that's true, we could go straight from Last Call to Proposed Rec (which then leads to Rec with minimal work from the group), skipping CR and saving a 1-3 months. If we're going to do that, or potentially do that, we should say so as we go to our Second Last Call, which is part of why I'm asking now. So, does anyone have an implementation that's feature complete for SPARQL 1.1, or very likely to be by, oh, the end of January? If you'll be there except for one or two things, what are those things? (Thinking about it, I expect we might have some problems with ER on this front. Has anyone been implementing ER? Does anyone plan to? I'd expect Birte, Chime, and Paul might be doing something here.... Maybe C&P. I also wonder if anyone has implemented anything that consumes Service Descriptions, but perhaps that's not really necessary.) -- Sandro
