The working group considered your request and decided[1] to change the namespace of the sparql results format to: http://www.w3.org/2005/sparql-results# which makes the namespace name more friendly to RDF systems additionally. This change was folded into the document that defines the results format, which was recently published as: SPARQL Query Results XML Format W3C Working Draft 1 August 2005 http://www.w3.org/TR/2005/WD-rdf-sparql-XMLres-20050801/ It will in due course be reflected into the next version of the SPARQL Query WD. You can see the change now in the example in the editor's draft at http://www.w3.org/2001/sw/DataAccess/rq23/#select (section 10.2 Selecting Variables) Please let us know if this is a satisfactory response.
