http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=10702 Summary: [XPath21] Editorial: Errors and optimization refers to an error condition that no longer exists. Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Member-only Editors Drafts Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XPath 2.1 AssignedTo: jonathan.robie@redhat.com ReportedBy: oliver@cbcl.co.uk QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org This also applies to XQuery 1.1 Section 2.3.4 (Errors and Optimization) of both specs contains the following sentence: Expressions must not be rewritten in such a way as to create or remove static errors. For example, there is a rule that in casting a string to a QName the operand must be a string literal. This rule applies to the original expression and not to any rewritten form of the expression. The rule referred to in the example no longer exists and so a better example should be chosen. -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
