http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=7424 Summary: [XPath 2.0] XPath 1.0 compatibility mode with range expressions. Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: 2nd Edition Recommendation Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows NT Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XPath AssignedTo: jonathan.robie@redhat.com ReportedBy: oliver@cbcl.co.uk QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org Since a range expression does not exist in XPath 1.0, the compatibility mode should nor affect the normalization. However, the specification says (3.3.1) Each of the operands of the to operator is converted as though it was an argument of a function with the expected parameter type xs:integer?. Would it not be better to normalize the parameters as when compatibility mode is false? -- Configure bugmail: http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug.
