http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=3742 Summary: [FT] language=none not useful Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Working drafts Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Full Text AssignedTo: jim.melton@acm.org ReportedBy: holstege@mathling.com QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org Section 3.2.6 (FTLanguageOption) Appendix C (Static Context) Appendix I (Checklist of Implementation-Defined) language="none" is not a sensible choice. Tokenization is intrinsically language-dependent and full-text search is intrinsically dependent on tokenization. I believe we should drop the language=none and require the static context to define a specific (implementation-defined) default language.
