           Summary: Nesting of proximity operators
Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT
           Version: Working drafts
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows 2000
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Full Text
        AssignedTo: jim.melton@acm.org
        ReportedBy: pcase@crs.loc.gov
         QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org

Pained at the uselessness of full-text query implementations that do not allow
users to nest proximity expressions, we propose that instead of making nesting
entirely optional, the number of levels of nesting required be limited to 3.
