Sorry Jonathan, but I disagree with your proposed resolution. Since we cannot and do not want to wait for XML Schema 1.1, my understanding was that XML Schema agreed to use our namespaces. I am certainly not interested in having to wait another 2 years until XQuery can release, especially after we fixed the namespaces for CR to be stable. Best regards Michael PS: I am taking this discussion into the internal mailing list now (public and Frans is on bcc). > -----Original Message----- > From: Jonathan Robie [mailto:jonathan.robie@datadirect.com] > Sent: Monday, January 23, 2006 11:28 AM > To: Michael Rys > Cc: Frans Englich; public-qt-comments@w3.org > Subject: Re: Types defines in F & O and WXS 1.1 > > Michael Rys wrote: > > >The original discussion (and I thought agreement) was that > WXS 1.1 would > >simply refer to the XQuery types (including namespaces) where > >appropriate. > > > >I have not looked at WXS 1.1 yet, but if that is not the case, then I > >think there is a problem... > > > > > The XML Schema Working Draft from 17 January [1] added anySimpleType, > anyAtomicType, yearMonthDuration and dayTimeDuration, but added them > in their own namespace, not in the XQuery namespace.
