http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=3415 Norman.Walsh@Sun.COM changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |ASSIGNED ------- Comment #2 from Norman.Walsh@Sun.COM 2006-08-25 16:03 ------- Proposal for resolving bug #3415 Change the description of dm:base-uri in 6.1.2, 6.2.2, and 6.5.2 to read: dm:base-uri Returns the value of the base-uri property. N.B. leave the description of dm:base-uri unchanged in 6.3.2, 6.6.2, and 6.7.2. Change the description of base-uri in 6.1.3, 6.2.3, and 6.5.3 to read: base-uri The value of the [base URI] property. Note that the base URI property is always an absolute URI (if an absolute URI can be computed) though it may contain Unicode characters that are not allowed in URIs. Any such characters must be encoded and escaped to obtain a URI suitable for retrieval, if retrieval is required. By my reading of XML Base and the Infoset spec, the [base URI] property is always absolute, except for the case where no absolute URI can be computed.
