http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=1395 Summary: [XQuery] Empty order specification applies to NaN too? Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Last Call drafts Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: XQuery AssignedTo: chamberl@almaden.ibm.com ReportedBy: pwalmsley@datypic.com QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org The discussion of empty least/greatest in order by's says they apply to both the empty sequence AND NaN. But the description of the Empty Order Specification in the prolog (and the "default order for empty sequences" in the static context) refers only to the empty sequence, not NaN. This seems unnecessarily inconsistent.
