http://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=1297 Summary: [DM] (from XML Core WG) Parent property Product: XPath / XQuery / XSLT Version: Last Call drafts Platform: Macintosh OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Data Model AssignedTo: ndw@nwalsh.com ReportedBy: richard@inf.ed.ac.uk QAContact: public-qt-comments@w3.org 6.2.3, parent property What should the value of the parent property be if [parent] is unknown or has no value? Obviously this can't happen with the infoset of an XML document, but it can with an infoset created by (for example) converting an XPath data model (as in 6.2.5). Similarly for attributes in 6.3.3.
