Perhaps sending every bug change made (such as severity changes like the one below) to the entire public comments mailing list is not the best use of the list? I don't mind seeing the bugs opened (with a detailed description of the bug) and closed (with a detailed description of the reason, which the current reports lack), but everything else seems a bit spammy.
