Good discussion. I too follow the topic closely but my role with the W3C is more as a member versus leader. Another angle is Allyship with action. I see that behavior by many leaders and members in the W3C leadership and community. Suggest reviewing the Allyship concept to see if it could be used. One person at a time can make a difference on a W3C member experience. Impower your leadership and community may achieve what your looking for in a positive way? It is true that many organizations offer “sensitivity training” to their employees but from what I’ve heard (no personal experience with it!) – this is often “offered” as a punitive action, when someone has done/said something improper. Since our intentions are purely educational, maybe we need to come up with a different name, but I don’t have anything to propose off the top of my head. It has previously offered chair training on a range of different subjects [2]. Forgive me if this idea has already been suggested, although I lurk in the PWE, I don't participate actively and so may have missed it if it came up before.
