I think you meant this is NOT a matter of urgency, since you suggested just
doing this at their Fall meeting in NYC.

My concern is the need to recharter the Publishing WG. That's the urgency I
feel. If we could get some interest in WP from this sector, who are not
much interested in EPUB, that could be a deciding factor in the future of
WP. And this group has a bunch of heavy hitters like the Associated Press,
Agence France-Presse, the BBC, Bloomberg, the New York Times (host of the
fall meeting), Thomson-Reuters, and many more. My hope would be that we
could stimulate interest at the IPTC Spring Meeting so that (a) we could
have support for some implementations and (b) so that there could be some
concrete progress from at least one or two of those players in time for
their Fall meeting (and even earlier, in support of WP for
non-ebook-content from an important sector).

I certainly understand your need for support for travel. I would go to
Tallinn if I could but I can't justify the personal expense. In any case.
Laurent, you're a much better person to make this case with this group than
I am. Hope this can work out. If you can't do it, maybe Ivan can go.
