    Please find attached, a document written by the developers about the content of the 2 phases of work on the code and on the architecture of EPUBCheck as an Open Source project.
    
    We are now in phase 2 and these important tasks for the future of EPUBCheck, the free tool the whole EPUB supply chain needs, still need to be funded.
    About the amount of money, I can tell you that we have not yet reached the 2 thirds of the $150 goal (but not far).
    So I for one, am doing all my possible to communicate this need worldwide.

        I don’t think I can see (or want to know) how much each company gave, but it would help me if I could explain how much total has been raised so far, the broad level of support, what’s remaining. So just “we have $xx of the $150K total, for nn donors, whose names are on the page”.

        Maintain in what sense? This is probably all explained in the proposal and plans mentioned above…? Fix bugs? Implement missing checks? Make it more <something> (usable, accessible, portable, cloud-based…)?

The EPUB 3 Community Group is now developing the long term road map for EPUB, and I expect that EPUBCheck will be an important part of that road map.
