Summary of today’s call:

 *   No quorum was present, so no new business was discussed
 *   In the absence of a quorum, the recommendation from the chairs meeting last week will be forwarded by BillM to the business group.  That recommendation is that we do NOT hold a BG meeting on Friday, but, instead, have an open session with some of the BG, some of the SC, and some of the W3C team for people to have conversations, ask questions, and discuss things.  Look for an email from BillM.
 *   No dinner plans exist for the SC to gather at TPAC.  Those attending are open to any suggestions!
 *   No discussion on elections.  This must be our top priority following TPAC.
 *   No discussion on the task forces

Practicalities:

as some of you have experienced yesterday, the old WebEx call data became unusable. The reason is always the same: confidential information leaked out into the public, and hackers got hold of it to spam the WebEx at MIT. (For the curious, they use the credentials to get into running calls somehow and use WebEx to dial out to paying numbers. The rumours say that MIT looses quite a lot of money on that scam.) Note that the URL of the call (that can be used to dial in over VOIP) is *also* confidential.

I regenerated a new WebEx call that we already used on the BG call. If you dial in, the meeting code is now: 313 391 111. The password is the same as before. If you forgot it, or you want to use the URL, contact me and/or Rick, and we will send it to you privately. Please, store those data somewhere locally…

 2.  Discuss the BG meeting process at TPAC for working thru the google doc of tasks

I’m also sad to let you know that my obligations at “my day job” are such that I’m going to have to miss most of TPAC.  I’m currently hoping to arrive sometime on Wednesday, but it may not be until late in the day.  These obligations are such that I will possibly also be stepping back from a co-chair PBG role, at a minimum, and possibly not running for the steering committee as well.  I should know more when I see you at TPAC.
