Oh! There is another bit of good news. I found out there is a way for the public to access specific Chrome usage stats <https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/HEAD/docs/use_counter_wiki.md> . So I can write some Chrome code to check for malformed PNGs or PNGs with "mDCv" (old name), as examples. I'm going to add checks for mDCv/mDCV & cLLi/cLLI soon.
