Happy new year!
Some quick updates:
- Cosmin has joined the group! He is the main maintainer of libpng. Glad
to have him on board
- All 3 known implementers of mDCv and cLLi have now moved to mDCV and
cLLI
- libpng added support for cICP - a release will be made soon
- acTL no longer needs to arrive before PLTE
Heck of a good start to the year!
Discussion topics:
- Should the libpng release wait for mDCV & cLLI implementations? Or
should those come in a later release?
- Chyron uses libpng and wants cICP, mDCV, and cLLI for the upcoming
Olympics broadcast.
- Should cHRM values be changed to signed?
- I am still waiting on advice from the higher ups on what level of
breakage is allowed.
- I introduced an error into the spec with one of my recent updates.
I'll fix it.
- Once fixed, should we make a new snapshot for a potential candidate
recommendation?
- If I can squeeze it in this weekend, I'll try to write up a strawman
for generic image-type data.
See you all Monday at 11 Eastern!
