Thanks for the update Chris B! I vote for releasing cICP first and delay mDCV and cLLI. cICP is essential for identifying video formats. The others are not. There is another bit of good news. I found out there is a way for the public to access specific Chrome usage stats<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/*/HEAD/docs/use_counter_wiki.md__;Kw!!PIZeeW5wscynRQ!oj0PGILUGdfDg5TuxHeS-4jjtlPjkRP7UiBeymFIGXRMrTKL3dQ41E_MPGc0kVZit9HsKXTgPOu4l6_m_srZ$>. So I can write some Chrome code to check for malformed PNGs or PNGs with "mDCv" (old name), as examples. I'm going to add checks for mDCv/mDCV & cLLi/cLLI soon. Discussion topics: * Should the libpng release wait for mDCV & cLLI implementations? Or should those come in a later release? * Chyron uses libpng and wants cICP, mDCV, and cLLI for the upcoming Olympics broadcast. * Should cHRM values be changed to signed? * I am still waiting on advice from the higher ups on what level of breakage is allowed. * I introduced an error into the spec with one of my recent updates. I'll fix it. * Once fixed, should we make a new snapshot for a potential candidate recommendation? * If I can squeeze it in this weekend, I'll try to write up a strawman for generic image-type data.
