Ciao Piero. Thanks for your input. Piero and All - could this lack of progress (specifically in terms of the two highlighted points) be due to the fact that RIF is a reasonably recent specification or are there any intrinsic adoption problem (e.g. complexity, lack of requirements/needs, no support from vendors, etc.)? Any clue? I am just curious - this is in some way similar to the issues we came across in a few PLING discussions. Today lot of (security, privacy, etc.) policy languages are currently available but apparently little progress has been made in terms of (1) their industrial adoption and (2) interoperability among them. I don't think there has been much specific further progress along the practical questions you posed cheers piero > Hi. > > I recently came across the "W3C Rule Interchange Format" initiative > (http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wg/charter): I think it could be of some > relevance to this PLING IG and related discussions (in particular > about the portability and transaltion of rules/policies across > heterogeneous policy management systems). > > However, I have a few practical questions: > > 1) What is the current applicability of this standard in the policy > domain?
