Since SPC for Open Banking is to be discussed at https://github.com/w3c/webpayments/wiki/Agenda-FTF2021 it might be of interest knowing that a recent API addition by the Berlin Group, Signed Payment Request (SPR), if combined with a revised SPC specification like outlined in https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/issues/1570 should work out-of-the-box (after the backend security has been established). This would [finally] eliminate the need for Open Banking users to (in some OOB way) inform merchants which bank they use. From a PSD2 perspective, a compliant TPP would perform the role of an acquirer. thanx, Anders
