For me, the shipping address is an integral part of the obligation (payments and delivery of goods/services) which is created when the customer confirms the purchase of the goods/services on the cart/basket. Without the shipping address the merchant cannot fullfill its obligations which resulted from the purchase. At least this is how it has been modelled by the experts in the ISO 20022 business model.
