Dear Web Payments WG, Back in April when we published PR API, Basic Card, and Payment Method Identifiers specifications, we resolved [1] to set up auto-publishing so that Editors drafts would be pushed on an ongoing basis to W3C’s “TR page” [2]. We documented this expectation in our “how we work” page [3]. There was no urgency in April to set up auto-publishing, so we didn’t do so. Months later, however, some of the specs linked from the TR page were starting to become stale, so today Mike Smith set up auto-publishing for those three specs. Thank you, Mike! A few details: * Our publication system uses dates in URLs. So the URL for today’s updated PR API is: https://www.w3.org/TR/2016/WD-payment-request-20161207/ If the Editors push more updates today, that page will be updated in place. Any updates that are pushed tomorrow will cause a new URL to be generated, and all updates on that date will appear in that document. * The updates are generated through a “Travis CI” hook that gets run every time anything gets pushed to the default branch (which for these specs is the gh-pages branch). We have not yet set up auto-publishing for the HTTP-* specifications or the Overview. I suggest if the Editors would like to do so, that we look into it in January. Questions by email welcome. I also plan to mention this at the 8 December call [1].
