Re: [paymentrequest] Should well-known identifiers be used for ubiquitous payment methods (#35)

I agree with @adrianhopebailie's reasoning. I think a registry is an unnecessary complexity, developers are more likely to do the right thing when there's one way to do it (and I believe they are much more likely to cut and paste than to type), and URIs are just the right tool here for a globally unique identifier.
