But Frankfurt as the target airport is a good alternative. Frankfurt is, by
train, about one hour from Karlsruhe (I am traveling that route day by day).
I had the luck to get a flight directly from Frankfurt to Nice and back for
less than 300 EUR. However, most flights I have seen have intermediate stops
in other towns, such as Zuerich, Paris, etc. But, IIRC, they all did never
cost more than 300 to 350 EUR (bidirectional!).
