i expect to be in the air during the call tomorrow (and updated the page to reflect that) but have a couple of comments related to the discussion topics. on fragments, my main concerns are that (1) people who previously used owl lite can still use it. peter points out that it is still a subset of owl-dl so those users should be ok. that probably works. i suggest in our documentation for changes from owl 1.0 to owl 1.1, we mention this explicitly. (2) we have at least one fragment that is simpler than all of owl-dl that is a starting point for at least one class of users. i found this very useful getting people started using owl lite with owl 1.0.... many i started on owl lite did end up moving to owl dl as they discovered value and became more comfortable with the language. i expect it to be even more important with owl 1.1 since owl dl 1.1 has even more in it (which many people believe rightly so is a good thing) than owl dl 1.0, but that just means that it may be viewed as even more complex by many potential new users. on owl full, my main concern is that people who need to use classes as instances have some option for doing that in the owl 1.1 world. on rich annotations, my main request is that owl 1.1 allows me to have annotations on annotations. (i get that in peter's proposal 2a so that is one proposal i like) deborah In a message dated 2/5/2008 12:59:31 P.M.
