Hi, I have recently joined this community group and thought I should introduce myself. For a more complete profile, please see my web page at http://www.catherine-roy.net (in French; I really should get around to posting an English version). I have been interested and involved in open data and open government initiatives since 2006, whether locally, on a provincial or federal level and have been following international work on governance and technology for about 10 years. More generally, I have been working on digital divide issues since 1999, especially with regards to, but not limited to, access to information technologies and the Web for people with disabilities. I have some experience developping standards, most notably as consultant and co-author of initial version of the accessibility standard for the government of Québec. I am also a member of the HTML WG and have been following that work since pretty much the beginning. I am fluently bilingual (French & English) and have a lot of translation experience of technical documents. While I do have some health issues at the moment and so not as available as I would like, I am very interested in the objectives of this community group. I will be following the work here and I hope to be of use. Best regards, Catherine -- Catherine Roy http://www.catherine-roy.net
