Re: telco today, 15:00 (CET)

Hi Phlipp, all

For the vartrans module discussion I have a few suggestions that I'll
elaborate more during the telco:

1. New properties "translationSource" and "translationTarget" as
subproperties of "variationSource/Target". In general translations are not
perceived as "variations" even if they are IMHO
2. Add a property "translationSense" (or something similar) as
superproperty of "translationSource/Target". The idea is to have a
property that does not account for the directionality (i.e., one does not
know whether an object of "translationSense" is target or source in the
translation relation). This is very convenient for simplifying querying and
for navigation purposes. Maybe that can be done at the level of "variation"
instead
3. Consider to add "examples" to the translations, as there are in many
dictionaries. For instance "banco"@es -> "bench"@en E.g.: "We both sat on
the piano bench while I had my lesson". How to capture this?
4. Consider to have a "TranslationSet" class to group many translations (or
"VariationSet" maybe). This has proved to be a useful feature of the lemon
translation module [1]

Jorge
