  can I kindly ask you to elaborate what you mean with this:

*Compliance to basic semiotic distinctions* (expression, meaning, 
reference, linguistic act) (e.g. implemented in OWL here 
<http://www.ontologydesignpatterns.org/cp/owl/semiotics.owl>)

I think that would help a lot.
